Synopsis
Melissa spends her days at a job she hates, and nights with wine and re-running her favorite rom-coms. Soon to be empty nest, she desperately tries to launch her teenagers. She fills her time researching film schools for Kennedy, her Senior daughter, and to get Conrad, her just graduated son, out of gaming and into the real world.
The conflict happens when she begins to want a different life, and channels her favorite writer and director, Nora Ephron, to make it happen. Suddenly, the repeat films she watches begin to hit differently. The college tour for Kennedy sparks an idea, which although a longshot, becomes her focus.
All hell breaks lose when she applies to the same college as Kennedy. Can she dare to actually dream? What will it mean for her relationship with her daughter? Will it inspire her son? WRITER/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR
Michelle E. Campbell graduated with her M.F.A in Film Production from USC's School of Cinematic Arts in 2017. She is a storyteller, filmmaker and humorist. She produced her award-winning thesis film Ten Thousand Miles. Her background includes producing theater, and raising theater kids. She has three screenplays in the works. Her long career in Consultative Selling and a dog named Packer, destroyer of remotes but keeper of his heart.
